The First to Lie

Hank Phillippi Ryan delivers yet another whirlpool of suspense.

Release Date: August 4, 2020

Khaled Hosseini famously reinforced that nothing happens in a vacuum.  Ryan offers up at the gate:

“If you could start your adult life over as someone else, would you do it? Sure, you would.  All you have to do is lie.”

As swiftly as her tightly-constructed plots, the reader is whisked away from the posited question, and into the scurrilous nexus of paid-off officials and Big Pharma.  This isn’t one woman’s investigation and exposure – there are three.  Three professional women whose lives are turned upside-down, revealing deeply withheld secrets.  Three women who are completely willing to allow their reputations and good will be violated in the quest for justice.  Three women.  Unknown to each other.  Unknown to corrupt officials.  Unknown to Big Pharma.  Nothing happens in a vacuum, but as that vacuum gets closer and closer to the air being forced out, the reader is prickling with the danger, and page-turning as quickly as possible.  As quickly as a lie.
